Using technology developed by NASA, Thermilate is a unique powder that transforms paint into an insulating coating. When used on internal walls and ceilings, it reduces heat loss - on external walls, it reflects heat from the sun, creating a cooler environment.
Made of ceramic microspheres which retract, reflect and dissipate heat, Thermilate can reduce energy use by up to 40%. It also reduces heating/cooling times and carbon dioxide emissions.
Colourless, odourless and inert, it does not burn or support combustion and it improves the flame retardant properties of the surfaces to which it is applied.
Thermilate does not reduce paint coverage or affect adhesion. It can be safely added to virtually any interior or exterior paint, including coatings suitable for plaster, brick, stone, steel and copper.
